Who we are

SG Tyre Hub is operated by SG Lube Company Pte Ltd ("we", "us"). We help car owners in Singapore find the right tyres. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and what your choices are, under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and has no sign-up or contact forms. It does not load scripts or fonts from other companies. When you tap a WhatsApp button, WhatsApp opens on your device and your conversation with us is then handled as described below.

What we collect when you message us on WhatsApp

• Your WhatsApp phone number and the profile name WhatsApp shows us.
• The messages and photos you send us, such as a photo of your tyre sidewall. Please photograph only the tyre.
• Details about your car and tyres that you choose to share, such as make, model and tyre size.
• A short note of what you asked about, such as the tyre size, the car you told us about and the prices we quoted, so we can pick up where we left off when you come back. We do not keep a transcript of your chat in this note, and we do not keep your photos in it.

Tell us only what you are comfortable sharing

We keep these records for one reason: to serve you better when you come back. We do not sell your personal data and we do not publish it.

We are a small team, and we cannot work out for you which details about your car, tyres or battery you consider private. We treat what you tell us about your car and tyres as ordinary information needed to do the job. If something is private to you, please do not tell us, or tell us plainly so we know. If you would rather not share your car details at all, we may not be able to help, and you are welcome to ask another shop.

Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and follow up on it.
• To confirm your tyre size, check what is in stock and give you a quote.
• To arrange anything you ask us to arrange, such as a fitting appointment.

We use your number only to reply about your enquiry. We do not sell your personal data.

Your consent

By messaging us and sending us this information, you agree that we may collect, use and disclose it for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by telling us on WhatsApp or by email. If you do, we may not be able to keep helping with your enquiry.

Who we share it with

• WhatsApp (Meta), to send and receive your messages. Their own privacy policy applies to messages on WhatsApp.
• An AI language model service. We use an AI assistant to help answer messages. The text of your messages, and any photos you send, are sent to the service we use, DeepSeek, so that it can read the tyre size printed in a photo and produce a reply. The service is run by Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd., stores data in mainland China, and its terms do not promise confidentiality, set a retention period, or say whether data sent through its API is used to train its models. Please photograph only your tyre — not people, number plates or documents — and do not send us anything you would not want processed this way.
• Other organisations only where needed to do something you have asked for, such as a fitting appointment, and only the details needed for it.

How long we keep it

Chat conversations and the summaries we make of them are kept for a limited period, then deleted or stripped of the details that identify you.

Car, tyre, battery and fitting records, and the notes of what you asked about, are kept for at least five years. Tyres are usually replaced only after four years or more, and we want to recognise you when you return. We do not delete these records automatically. You can ask us at any time to delete them or remove your identifying details.

How we protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect personal data. Access to our systems is limited to authorised people, and our website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to stop using it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
